Song 1--My Prayer

So....I have had absolutely NO idea what is interesting enough about me to write a blog about, but I have decided since I have so many songs, (both okay and AWFUL), it would be cool for me to kind of share them with the world. I'll just write out the song and why it was written, (if there is a reason or a person it's dedicated to), the approximate date it was written, etc....

By the way, I'm keeping count because a few years ago I counted that I had about 100 songs, and I've written a bunch since then, so I'm very interested to see how many I have now!

OKAY! First one...

This song is called 'My Prayer'. I wrote it in 11th grade, (2007)--probably in March. We were doing U.S. History and were supposed to write a song about the way the Pilgrims might have felt during their first winter in America. And, as much as it doesn't sound like it at ALL...this is my interpretation.

Okay, so I kind let the whole assignment drift from my mind and wrote a song about the way I was feeling, then tried to kind of twist it to be describing the Pilgrims. Sue me!

My Prayer

Father in Heaven
Can You hear me
Are you listening?
Or are You across the world
Helping someone else
I don't have much to say
But I'd like to know
That you're listening
And that You'll answer me
With more than just wait

God
Days are long
Nights are cold
I'm slowly losing my will to go on
What is there to live for
Anymore
I do my best
To live for you
But all I get is
Silence to my cries
So if you're there
And if you care
Open my heart
Answer my prayer

Father I know that
You are capable of anything
Is it too much to ask
That you'll answer me something
I've been waiting my whole life
To see a sign that you're really watching
Don't let me fade away when
There's hope for a life

God
Days are long
Nights are cold
I'm slowly losing my will to go on
What is there to live for
Anymore
I do my best
To live for you
But all I get is
Silence to my cries
So if you're there
And if you care
Open my heart
Answer my prayer

Save me from
My nightmarish life
Deliver me and make things right
I was meant for
A whole world more
So give me life
I'm dry inside

God
days are long
Nights are cold
I'm slowly losing
My will to go on
What is there to live for
Anymore
I do my best
To live for you
But all I get is
Silence to my cries
So if you're there
And if you care
Open my heart...
Answer my prayer

Okay, just for the record, I am FULLY AWARE that this song sucks ALOT. I wrote it for class in about 8 minutes. (Yes, sometimes I forget assignments.) No one besides the people in my class have heard it, and unless something happens and someone hears me singing it in the shower or something....no one ever will.

Till next time,

When I get that feeling, it's like chocolately healing...

Okay, yeah, so I feel just a LITTLE bit like a heifer for making my third blog about chocolate, but oh well.
I'll eat away my sorrow later.

I LOVELOVELOVE chocolate. Really. I could eat it every day. And I probably do in some way.

I think I inherited the chocolate obsession from my mother. Not only does she snack on chocolate all of the time, but she attempts to hide it from the rest of us. Now, when we were younger this worked pretty well, but now that we are older and have wised up, it's pretty futile of her to even try (in my opinion).

She has hidden chocolate:
  • In the towel drawer in the kitchen
  • In the drawer in the dining room with pictures of dead relatives
  • In the wine cabinet
  • In her purse
  • In her nightstand
  • In her stationary box
  • In her lingerie drawer
  • In the glove compartment of her car
  • In the living room end tables
  • In her Bible case
  • In the center console of her car
  • On her person. I won't say more.
And...that's pretty much it. Oh, here are some more pictures...in case you love it as much as I do...

~If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.~

Hello World!

Hello everyone! Or no one. I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but....
I guess I had better start first by introducing myself. My name is Noelle Simone Leader. I am 18 years old, and an aspiring film director/writer/singer/mother.
Umm....some quick facts about me:
I am a Christian.
I love to do anything artsy--draw, paint, write, sing, scrapbook, sew, crotchet, collect things...you name it.
I also love anything and everything Italian.
I love soccer.
I love animals.
I am a hopeless romantic.
I love films.
I love children.
I love....love.

I hope that I won't relinquish this blog to the destiny of oh so many diaries and journals throughout the years, but that I will post faithfully. I say this with only the faintest of hopes that this will continue to be so, but still...
Till later!

Amare la Vita Eterna.
